Flyer

Left Brain | Right Brain Creative Consulting

Using Wix forms, I created a simple contact form that was easy to use, as opposed to the previous "get a quote" buttons, which would redirect the user to an outdated email application.

As requested, I delivered this website within 2 weeks, and the CEO was impressed with this work.

While working for Left Brain | Right Brain Creative Consulting, I managed this flyer design project to attract business.

The owner, Ian Cobb, gave me quite a bit of creative freedom with this project. He only asked that I include a QR code and use our brand’s color palette and logo (the lightning bolt).

I started by gathering inspiration — I searched for related flyer designs and chose several that I liked.

Initially, I made a design centered around advertising one of our services, which is helping people grow their business. I thought combining the brain logo with a tree was a great way to symbolize growth. However, after presenting this design, Ian made the point that the tree was too reminiscent of a gardening business and may confuse people about what services we offered.

With this helpful feedback, I pivoted my design and started focusing on using the lightning bolt as the centerpiece. This presented some difficulties, as the asymmetrical and diagonal nature of the shape made it hard to balance the other elements to make an overall balanced design.

This design went through several iterations. I experimented with the position of contact information and the list of services, as well as background colors, trying a gradient at one point.

The challenge

This is the final approved design, finalized within the week. If I were to do this project now, I think I would have used one of the previous iterations, where the bottom contact text was left-aligned to match the text at the top of the page. Even so, this design was printed and used to bring us more business!
