Trifold brochure

SOG Knives

Using Wix forms, I created a simple contact form that was easy to use, as opposed to the previous "get a quote" buttons, which would redirect the user to an outdated email application.

As requested, I delivered this website within 2 weeks, and the CEO was impressed with this work.

While working at LBRB Creative Consulting, I was asked to build a trifold brochure for SOG Knives in accordance with their existing branding and templates.

Replacing specs and labels

SOG outsourced some of their production work to Left Brain Right Brain Creative Consulting since they needed several projects done quickly and accurately.

This task consisted of 3 main parts:

Knife & tool line art

The first step was to use Adobe InDesign to create technically accurate vector illustrations of 12 knives/tools in the collection they were releasing. To do this, I referenced brand guidelines and templates to ensure line weights, label text and lines, and color fills/textures were all exactly as they should be. I used this art in two other projects for SOG, which you can see here and here.

Next, I needed to make sure the specs listed by each tool were correct. I did this by referencing a large document listing detailed specs for every tool in SOG's catalogue. I located the new information, replaced the old text, then realigned the information within the boxes. Sometimes I needed to alter the boxes. I also replaced and realigned icons.

Finally, I used Adobe InDesign to create the brochure. I referenced old SOG brochure templates, and did test prints to make sure the pages were placed in the correct order and orientation. I made sure all spacing between elements looked correct.

The challenge

This page is under construction — more imagery and process examples coming soon!

SOG was pleased with this work and the turnaround time. 10,000 copies were printed and distributed.
